What does INEB do?

INEB provides independent review and verification services for financial transactions, bills, charges, and selected compliance obligations. Each service is designed to identify possible errors, inconsistencies, exposure, or items that may require clarification.

Is INEB a law firm or accounting firm?

No. INEB provides independent informational analysis and verification. It does not provide legal representation, legal advice, accounting services, tax advice, or other licensed professional services.

How does the Legal Bill Review work?

You purchase the review, submit your attorney billing statements, and INEB examines the billing information for issues such as duplicate charges, billing inconsistencies, questionable time entries, arithmetic problems, and other items that may deserve clarification.

What documents should I submit for a Legal Bill Review?

Submit the attorney billing statements or invoices you want reviewed. You generally do not need to submit your entire legal case file.

How much does the Legal Bill Review cost?

The current Legal Bill Review price is $400 for one legal matter covering up to 25 pages of attorney billing statements. Additional or later billing statements may require a separate review.

Does INEB guarantee that a charge is improper?

No. Some findings can be confirmed mathematically or from the documents provided, while others may simply identify something that deserves clarification. The report distinguishes between confirmed discrepancies, potential concerns, and items where no issue was detected.

Will INEB contact my attorney for me?

No. INEB provides the review and findings to you. You decide what, if anything, you want to ask your attorney or other professional afterward.
